A NOTE ABOUT HOW YOU CAN'T TAKE THE CHRIST FROM MY CHRISTMAS WAS BORN

Howdy! In a sense, the song was born when I was "born again" back in 1982 after I asked Jesus into my life. I believe He began to work in me... to free me from painful thoughts, emotions, depressions, inadequacies and choices. His Word changed andhealed me as I planted it in my heart by hearing it, watered it by thinking about it, nurtured it by memorizing it, singing it and speaking it until it grew so big that my joy in the Lord and in His truths crowded out the the old miseries. I came to know His truths and they set me free!

After some years of growing in Him, I realized that my heart felt like it was Christmas all year round. The particular day that I celebrated Christmas was not as important as the fact that it had happened! My Father God allowed His Son to be born as a baby to become the Savior of the world! He, God incarnate, laid down His sinless life approximately 30 years later, to become the Lamb of God, and was sacrificed in the place of sinful man.

Not only that, but when I acknowledged that I was a sinner who needed Him as the sacrifice for my own sins, He sent the Holy Spirit to live in my heart. As the knowledge of His presence in my life grew, the joy grew as well, until I had the feeling that it was Christmas in my heart... every day!

My prayer is that if you have not received Him already, that you will ask Him into your life. Confess your sins to Him and your need for Him to save you from them. He came to give you life, and give it abundantly! Ask Him to help you find a church where you can grow and serve.

"He gave His Life"... when He died on the cross for you. "That's the Truth"... according to God's Holy Word. "He made a Way"... by bridging the gap between sinful man and Holy God... because He loves you!
